Everyone knows the 12 days of Christmas but how about the 12 Dates of Christmas? Complete the list below and start a few new holiday traditions with your spouse. The dates aren’t in any particular order so pick one, two, or all and have fun with your mate!
Christmas Lights Tour: Tour a neighborhood in your city that is famous for Christmas lights. It’s fun and free. It’s amazing to see what people come up with every year. Certain Chick Fil A’s in my area have their buildings decked out in lights.
Watch a Christmas Movie Make S’mores. I love Netflix this time of year because they have the cutest Christmas love stories. Cuddle up with a blanket, your beau, and of course your s’mores.
Go Ice Skating. Here in Tampa, they build a special outdoor ice skating rink! I’m definitely excited for this.
Pick out a Christmas Tree. This is something I normally pick up the day after Thanksgiving but I know several people who wait until December to purchase their tree. Make it special by picking one out together.
Make Personalized Gift Bags of Cookies. Make from scratch or buy pre-made cookies. Wrap them in clear plastic bags with a cute tag and hand them out as gifts.
Hear Caroling at the Mall. Most malls have carolers in the food court or entrances at the mall. It’s free and festive.
Donate to a Christmas Drive. So many families struggle during this time because due to lack of finances. To ease some of their stress, purchase a gift that will put a smile on a child’s face. Don’t forget the parents. Pick up a nice wallet and body wash for mom and dad.
Watch a Christmas Classic. My favorite Christmas movies are A Christmas Story and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Deck the Halls. Pick a color scheme (ours is teal and silver) and deck your house from top to bottom with Christmas décor.
Make a Gingerbread House. I don’t know if I’m going to convince my husband to do this but I’m going to try.
Have a Pajama Party. Grab your favorite pj’s and play board games, laugh, and talk. Just spend time together.
Take Holiday Photos. This is a tradition that we started when we got married. You can use old pictures or take new ones and get them printed for pennies!!
